Wearable Devices Introduces Neural Sensing Layer for Physical AI and Humanoid Robotics, Translating Human Intent into Actionable Data

The Company will showcase its new technology that complements vision with human intent data to address challenges in training humanoid hands at the Physical AI 2026 conference in Tel Aviv

YOKNEAM ILLIT, ISRAEL, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Wearable Devices Ltd. (Nasdaq: WLDS, WLDSW) (“Wearable Devices” or the “Company”), a pioneer in artificial intelligence (AI)-powered touchless sensing wearables, today announced that it will showcase its neural sensing layer for Physical AI and humanoid robotics at the Physical AI 2026 in Israel. The Company is positioning its technology as the neural input layer for Physical AI, designed to enrich vision-based training data with synchronized signals associated with human movement, muscle activation and intent. The Company will participate as a Sponsor of this premier industry event, the first conference of its kind in Israel, held in collaboration with the National AI Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office taking place on September 8, 2026, at the David InterContinental in Tel Aviv.

As the tech industry transitions toward advanced robotics, Wearable Devices is expanding its capabilities in the Physical AI domain. The Company will showcase how its technology can uplift egocentric camera data collection methods by adding a neural layer to vision. Fine-grained manipulation remains a key challenge in training humanoid hands. To this end, Wearable Devices provides an additional neural layer that complements vision-based data with synchronized neuromuscular signals associated with human movement and intent.

The Company will demonstrate how its multi-channel sEMG array captures the motor unit action potentials that fire before movement is even visible. Fused with IMU and PPG, these signals feed the Company’s algorithms, which translate them into hand-pose tracking, applied force, moment of touch, and intent labels for Physical AI.

“The solution of cameras alongside wearables is an enabling technology for humanoid robots.  We will showcase these capabilities at the convention,” said Leeor Langer, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Wearable Devices. “We are taking a significant step forward in the Physical AI domain to meet the growing demands of this market. The potential of Physical AI is immense, and by providing a neural layer that translates human intent into actionable data, we are unlocking new possibilities for training the next generation of robotic and autonomous systems.”
