Frøya, 6 September 2026 – Kaldvík AS (“Kaldvík” or the “Company”) has experienced a jellyfish event at its farming sites in Reyðarfjörður.
The 2025 generation has experienced approximately 0.3 percentage points of additional mortality since Friday, 4 September, as a result of the event. As a precautionary measure, Kaldvík has initiated harvesting from selected cages to reduce the risk of further losses.
The situation is currently stable and continues to be closely monitored. The 2026 generation, which is located in a different fjord, has not been affected by the event.
