Han’s Laser Leads Development of ISO 11553-2:2026 – First Global Safety Standard for Hand-Held or Hand-Operated Laser Processing Machines

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — On August 28th, 2026 the international standard ISO 11553-2:2026 Safety of machinery-Laser processing machines-Part 2: Safety requirements for hand-held or hand-operated laser processing machines, was officially released. This standard was spearheaded by Han’s Laser Smart Equipment Group Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Han’s Laser Technology Industry Group Co., Ltd.

This marks the first international safety standard for complete laser processing equipment developed under the ISO/IEC framework to be spearheaded by Han’s Laser. It specifies that the primary responsibility for safety lies with the equipment’s inherent design, rather than relying on operator training and personal protective equipment.
